This presentation is right for you if:

  • You have been learning support staff for at least 12 months

  • You already have a great grasp on being an LSO and are ready to level up your skills

  • You would find it helpful to understand better how to support your neuro-divergent students

  • You are ready to investigate and understand more of the nitty-gritty elements of being an LSO

  • You want more individual opportunities to unpack your classroom ‘hot spots’ and leave with strategies you can immediately implement.

Core Focus & Key Takeaways

  • Neuro-Affirming Framework: Applying a modern neurodiversity-affirming lens to daily student support and interactions

  • Practical Problem Solving: Working through general case studies and unpacking real-life "hot spots" brought by participants
